Parents wishing to enroll their child should read all information in the Parent Handbook. Come and observe the facility once or twice, schedule a tour with center director to go over our programs, ask any questions, talk to our staff and some of our current parents.

Bring back the completed Enrollment Package forms to the center when ready to enroll your child with us.

Anti-Bias Policy

Our Program takes a firm stand on diversity issues. We have a commitment toward providing an environment that is culturally relevant to the families we serve and respectful toward all people.

Our multicultural plan is one that includes respect for differences in skin color, ethnicity, socio-economic status, physical and learning abilities, family lifestyle, religion, gender, and cultural practices. Activities and materials are provided in which all families can see themselves

reflected in our program.

A pro-active approach is used toward biases to help children develop an awareness toward stereotyping and prejudice and to help these children combat the biases as

they appear in our everyday environment. In keeping with this commitment, holidays are acknowledged in our program and regarded respectfully as each child shares his or her family tradition.

Enrollment Package. Please complete the enrollment package before the first day your child start. The package includes medical history and current immunization records.

Parent Handbook. A Place for Kids Early Childhood Academy Parent Handbook will describe and help explain the policies and procedures, and should answer common questions parents may have.

Health Care Policy. This is the health care policy we abide by and reviewed by Department of Early Learning licensor and Seattle and King County Public Health nurse.

Disaster Plan. The purpose of this packet is to give child care center personnel step-by-step procedures on how to respond to disaster/crisis situations during the first 30 minutes. We encourage you to look it over and familiarize yourself with our procedures.
